REAL ESTATE MANAGEMENT

Rise Student Living www.risestudentliving.com is involved in all the real estate management components involved – leasing and administration, facilities and operations management as well as management systems and technology. RISE can assist with setting up websites and the linking of back-end management systems, ultimately offering a management system solution tailored to the market needs.

A few student accommodation developments have been developed for universities and for South African Student Accommodation Impact Investments (SASAII) www.sasaii.com . SASAII is an investment vehicle managed by Eris.

STUDENT ACCOMMODATION PROJECTS

  • Avenue Road was developed for UCT as a 500-bed student residence, complete with a dining hall. This project was awarded through a construction tender process.
  • Units on Park is a 988-bed development situated in Hatfield. Construction commenced in 2018 and was completed in 2019, welcoming students for the 2020 intake.
  • Units on Jorissen Street is a 1,071-bed development located directly opposite one of the main entrances to Wits University. Construction started in 2021, and the residence opened its doors in 2024.
  • Units on Cape Station is South Africa’s largest single-phase student accommodation development, offering an impressive 3,071 beds for the 2024 intake.
  • Units on Birbeck, in the heart of Kimberley (Northwest), is a 620-bed single-student development designed to support Sol Plaatjie University students from 2025 onward.
  • Units on Blackwood is a 891-bed single-student residence currently under construction in Parktown, with completion targeted for the 2027 intake.
  • Units on Nala is a 1191-bed single-bed residence currently under construction in Bloemfontein, with completion targeted for the 2027 intake
  • The STACC team is responsible for identifying and delivering SASAII’s pipeline of new student accommodation projects.
